LIBRARIES- Attention Librarians!
Do you have appropriate ESL language pronunciation access for foreign students? Are there a variety of pronunciation-only programs available on your library computers? Would you like to facilitate ESL Pronunciation?
ESL-linkscanada.com offers a Library Pronunciation Lab log-in program for immigrants/students who wish to improve their English Pronunciation, particularly for those who want to obtain a better job in English speaking environments, or students who want to be more successful in school.
Our Pronunciation Log-in Lab program can prove a very helpful aid to immigrants or refugees with limited income, as they are the ones that need it the most, but may not be able to pay for expensive programs or may not have their own computers and depend totally on libraries for help.
The Library ESL Pronunciation Program is downloadable and can be used under licence. Cost per month depends on the number of dedicated computers in the library to make the lab accessible. We e-mail you a new log-in number every day so that the program is not abused outside of the library log-in. The cost is negligible considering the fact that it resembles the basic Ontario Ministry of Education reading/speaking/writing program for learning the English language in elementary school.
We believe that many foreign students’ written English skills can sometimes equal or surpass those of native speakers, however, in order to fit into an English speaking society and workplace, good pronunciation and personal confidence assures the immigrant a more open welcome, and greater opportunities. Libraries are the first place immigrants go to learn and get help. We believe that you can be our perfect partners in teaching ESL pronunciation through our log-in lab. We hope that you will contact us by e-mail or telephone to discuss your needs and applicable costs, either monthly or on a yearly contract. Thank you.
